I have been lucky to have great projects and awesome clients but the transformation on this job makes me stop and go thru each picture everytime I see it. This consult started with the clients asking to remove a wall and adding an island in its place along with painting the existing cabinets. They had recently moved in and the current kitchen was not functioning for their family of 6 nor was it their style. I talked them thru the options and let them know new cabinets vs. the cost of painting the existing ones would not be that different plus the finish would not be as durable, the layout wouldn’t give them all the items from their wish list and the quality of their current cabinets was average at best. Removing the wall and painting the cabinets was a band-aid. I suggested we look at a new kitchen design with their wish list in mind. I presented a plan, with their feedback I tweaked it, they LOVED it! The pictures speak for themselves, we have an island that seats the entire family and is the hub is the house. Double ovens, beverage bar and a window seat for the kiddos to hang out make space perfect for family and friends.
