This bath is used by several kids at one time. The objective; allow more privacy while multiple kids use the bathroom at the same time. Originally the bath had double sinks, the toilet was private but the tub was not. To solve the tub problem we shrunk the vanity an added a pocket door that allows use of the tub while others are at the sink. Since the pocket door required us to shrink the vanity, dual sinks we not possible. This is where a trough sink is really handy, its a over-sized single sink that allows for 2 faucets, 2 users while still having usable countertop space. A new vanity at adult height made it difficult for younger users to reach the faucets. We could have easily used a step stool but its always in the way. The solution, a pullout step, its really an upside down drawer box. When a step is no longer needed, it gets flipped over and becomes a drawer.
