Too often I see kitchens that are dated beyond their years. This home is a perfect example, if you look at the before photos you will see how staggared height wall/tall cabinets instantanly make this kitchen look like its from the 90’s! This kitchen was only 10 years old when I was called to help. The project started with the owner wanting to add a downdraft to their current cooktop. Due to the age and wood specie any new cabinetry added would look noticeably different. After consulting with the client I was given permission to propose a new design for thier existing space. As you can see I proposed we move the wall dividing the kitchen and entryway. Moving the wall opened up the kitchen, allowing space for an island, creating a functional layout that is easy to cook and entertain in!
