This project is a new build, while building new seems like it would be easier it can come with challenges. Whether building new or remodeling space is always at a premium. This kitchen needed to be a work horse, while looking pretty since its open to the living and dining spaces. A wood hood was a must along with a large island with seating. We designed a walk-in pantry behind the fridge wall for easy access to countertop appliances and overflow of food. The pantry has a second oven too for holiday meals. The look wanted by the owner was French Country, we achieved that look with heavy detailed doors in a painted/glazed finish, arch cased doorways, ceiling beams and a wood island anchor the look.
